Not Resting
(11x14”, watercolor on YUPO) was inspired by first painting this scene in early morning, with umbrellas down, when the restaurant was resting. But then I felt compelled to paint a version when it was most active – umbrellas up, people dining, dancing in the martini bar upstairs, and even Pietro in the background checking people in. One of Geneva’s treasures.
